Who likes there projectors? I'm wondering because i'm getting ready to get new headlights for my pickup. My mom has an 05 Cadillac sts with projectors and i love them things. I know i probally won't be able to get the light output hers does but i like the looks of them. I've got it narrowed down between projectors & euro clear. Also i'm running silverstars. If you got pictures that would be awesome too, and tell me why you like/dislike them.

I wouldn't buy any projectors if I were you. I had a set. They lit up the road fine directly in front, but there was absolutely zero peripheral light output with those things. I had to drive with my foglights on to see off to the sides.

Stick with some nice diamond clear headlights and you'll be happier.

Aftermarket projectors will in no way give you anything close to you moms cadi... Your moms cadi have a real long and sharp cut off... Aftermarket Projectors look like 2 half circles... Get a flash light, tape up half of it, and there you have it...

I had some aftermarket projectors (got'em for $25) and they sucked major ass. I couldnt see anything at night. Put the stockers back on and couldnt be happier.

I bought some on Ebay about a year ago and i love them..not sure of the brand but they have a great cut off line and great light output....they lack a little light right in front of the truck to the sides but out a little farther they really light up the sides...ive missed hitting many deer because they light up just off the shoulder out in front far enough...Guess some people get lucky with the projectors and some dont..

Ya i would stick with euro's i bought a nice set that are made from glass not plastic, and thru in some hid's an couldn't be happier the light output is insane. looks really really good. the glass headlights IMO are better because the will not turn yellow with time.

well said, projectors "look" bright from the front, but at night give absolutly horrible light output. ill be switching out my current projector headlight's with a set of euro black very soon. cant stand it anymore at night

Generally speaking, OEM projectors in cars and trucks are great...I wouldn't hesitate to buy a car that comes with projectors at all. My wife's 2000 Celica puts out more light, in a more even pattern with a razor sharp cutoff and good peripheral visibility with her lowbeam projectors running the original bulbs that came with the car (non HID) than either my 2000 NBS or 2002 Altima can with their highbeams or lows with fogs on.

Aftermarket projectors are generally pretty crappy and aren't worth even the low cost of entry. $25 for a set of lights? Come on, what are you expecting?

A good projector assembly is actually an optical quality lens that was designed and built to disperse light in a very specific pattern. Checp projectors are just a hunk of glass or plastic thats shaped like a lens, but is not designed like a lens.

They werent $25 new. I bought them from a guy in town for that b/c he said he didnt like them. Bulbs and all, even harnesses. I'm glad I didnt spend the $200 he spent on them. He gave me the receipt...$200...waste of money. But I was only out $25.

Well now i'm getting confused. Some ppl is liking them, the ones i'm looking at is on ebaymotors.com they are $95 or i can get a set of euro clear for $75. I'm really confused now. If i did get the projectors will i be able to run my silverstars? I seen somewhere on here where they bought projectors and couldn't run aftermarket headlights instead they had some other bulb mounted in them.

SOme projectors use halogen bulbs and some use HID. The Denali headlight on the NBS is a direct (I believe) swap for the standard headlights on GMC. But on a Chevy, especially an OBS, you don't have a stock style projector as an option, anyplace. The aftermarkets suck, period. SOme have had luck modifying them for HID's. They claim good results, but I have not seen them and can't say.

Bottom line for the OBS, if you want to swap out the headlights, go with a Diamond or Euro clears. Better light.

Oh and stay away from APC. Bad fitment issues are common.

I have the TYC Diamond Clear headlights with Silverstars and the Hi-4 Conversion, and I couldn't be happier. In pitch blackness I can see about 3/4 of a mile away with my high beams on.

Long story short, don't buy aftermarket projectors. If you do go projector you want a custom install that places the OEM projection unit out of a car that comes with projectors into a clear housing that fits your truck.

In your situation I'd say that you want to get the clear housings and use your silverstars.

i realize you already ordered the euros, but to answer that question, yes alot of the aftermarket one's use like a 55watt H3 bulb instead of the normal bulb for the projector part (low beam)
