i have a 94 chevy on 37/14.5 toyos with a more or less stock engine with 3.73 gears...and if i decide to boost this or another engine i might be dropping in is it wise to up gear?

depends on what you want to do. If your just driving around, probably not. If you want to start racing, possibly so.

you'd be fine with the gearing you have for now. if you decide after its on that you want different gears, then go for it then man.

well forced induction or not you should regear for that size tire. You will gain all your lost torque and your tranny will thank you.

Nailed it.

Even with whatever type of forced induction you are thinking of, you are still lugging your motor. You will actually get to enjoy your boost if your engine rpms are actually in the blower's/turbo's powerband.
More power is not a sustitute for proper gearing.

ty guys but im in the process of gettin the 900$ together for 4.56s and then im goin to sell the 350 out of my truck and go ahead with a 5.3 swap... the swap wont be takin place for some time but the gears should come in a month or so
