Alrighty here comes a novel haha.
After driving my 2000 ext cab Chev for a while with the Extensive Metalworks 2link, ive gotten sick of it. I cant seem to scare away this damn vibration. I am positive its got to do with the pinion angle. Ive tried rewelding the perches, and that made it a bit better, but was still a bit off, then ive tried some pinion shims, that didnt do much either. The vibration is in acceleration in the midrange of 1st gear, then it comes back at about 38 mph and slowly fades away as i near 60mph. Its gotten old, and i have a few friends with 2 links that also give vibrations. So with all that bitching out of the way, heres the plan.
Im pretty much set on a Suicidedoors.com superlift wishbone 3 link. Im going to run the single mount to a crossmember forward of the axle and the 2 mounts on the axle... im hoping this will allow me to have no clearance issues with the factory gas tank as i just spent a fair ammount of time and effort cutting and relocating the crossmembers up about 2 inches and tucked the tank way up off the ground. Im going to run the 2 lower links out side of the frame, basically in the same location as my 2 link is now. My question is i have to give them the legths and demensions i want. I have no problems with the lower links, but im wondering what length i should make the Wishbone link. And if it matters how wide i make the seperation of the 2 bushing side of the link.
If any of you have done a wishbone 3 link, (whether a kit or homemade) Id love to get some insight and maybe a few pictures.
Thanks for anything you folks have to offer, its much appreciated
Thanks guys, Ian
