Magnaflow too quiet

who thinks magnaflow is too quiet of a muffler...doesnt even sound like a truck. my flowmasters put them to shame..hahahaha, well its true.

I agree. I have had both and the Flows are much better sounding. I also cant tell any difference in performance as has been touted with the Magnas. I think that the Magna is a highly over rated glass pack. Inside every Magna is a Cherry Bomb trying to get out. Have a goodun!!!!:texas:

Yep gotta love the sound of the Flowmaster,I was thinking along the same lines a Magnaflow is just a glorafied glass pack

Its rather silly and presumptuous of you to make a decision like that based of a single product. Manganflow and flowmaster both make many, many mufflers. Ranging from very quiet to very loud, so perhaps you should get the loudest from each brand and then comapre.

I personaly like the idle of a flowmaster, but the rev and lack of interior resonance of a magnaflow.

yea i got a 4x9x14 (smallest case) 3"in/out put on last week and now my neighborhood hates me...i actually try to keep it out of the rpm's where its the loudest when i go through the neighborhood to be courteous...but once my subs are installed...courtesy is over. but no, i have definitely heard louder exhaust than mine but i didnt want drone on the highway and i love the tone i have. but i like the sound of flowmasters too, so i dont really care which anyone has...just i prefered this muffler

i have the magnaflow and it didnt sound like a truck , i cut the end of the muffler so there is no more tailpipe sticking out the rear wheel , and now it sounds awesome , i mean deep tone ...

I love the the loud in your face sound of flowmaster 10 series one chambers. Sounds diffrent than most. I have two on my 2000 silvy with turndowns out the mufflers and love how loud it is in the cab too. just my opinion......

I'm very pleased with the sound of my Magnaflow... Installed a flowmaster 40 first, but the cab drone was awful, could hardly hear the radio!

Put Magnaflow on my truck back in September. They were kinda quiet at first, but they have gotten louder. I love the thing. They aren't as loud as a Flowmaster, but mine isn't that far off. Everyone as Flows around here, I just wanted to be different. My truck sounds much smoother than any Flow equipped truck around here does. And it's plenty loud.

WRONG!!! I LOVE my Magna!!! I have the DI/Do Tru X and run 2.5 pipe and 3.5 tips. There is NO drone and nothing but DEEP and POWERFUL tone.
