Well I just got my taxes back, and I wanna take care of the truck's exhaust while I still can. Truck has long-tube headers with 3" flanges, and as of right now just 2.25" dumps right under the cab, I wanna replace the dumps with some more complete exhaust system. Trick is, with the tranny crossmember the way it is, I can easily run an exhaust pipe towards the rear of the truck only on the left of the tranny (driver-side), which pretty much leaves me with two options:
1) single exhaust - two 3" pipes from the headers into Y-collector, single 3" pipe coming out, running back along the tranny, making a turn up behind the cab, and coming through the bed's corner, and going up slightly above the cab's roof like an 18-wheeler stack with a flapper valve up top.
2) dual exhaust - 135* bends behind the headers so the pipes go down enought to clear the frame rails, U-turns to bring the exhaust on the outside of the frame, right-angle bends, short pipes towards the sides of the cab, and dual 3" chrome tips right behind the front tires. Will need pipe size recommendation for those, I'm thinking 2.5" will be good?
Here are the drawings of the two designs:

So what do y'all think? Both setups will be pretty nice for appearance, but what about performance? Since I have an RV cam I'm looking more for torque, not so much horsepower gains. Suggestions please? :D
