Hey guys, I did some searching on the topic of 99 Escalade front clip swaps to OBS and I cant really find the information I want on it. Plus, I am very weary of going to get a clip from a junkyard and not getting all the parts I would need and I would like to be sure of what Im doing first. So maybe someone here can help me out.
The escalade and denali clips look the same and was wondering if I could go with either one and have no problems bolting up to my 95' Silverado. Another thing I noticed was that the Escalades and Denalis that Ive seen all have a sort of fender flare deal going on with them and the kits Ive seen dont have it. The flare may be just a bolt on but from what Ive seen it looks to be made into the fender. But then again it may be just like that on some models, Im not sure.
I was hoping I could go to a local junk yard and find a front clip off one but Im not 100% sure of all the parts I need. Naturally, Ill need the hood, fenders, grille, and bumper but what about any supports or brackets?
Also any tips and advice would be appreciated, thanks to anyone who replies with help. :)

the fender flares bolt on, and the hole will need to be filled. you can get the fenders, hood, bumper with brackets, rebar, and cover, grille headlights, turn signals, and fog lights from the junk yard

Thanks man, I appreciate the help :)
Going tomorrow to get some prices, although I wont need the headlights and signals for I am buying black halo lights instead.
BTW, this is prolly a dumb question but what is the rebar? Just so I know what Im looking for.
Thanks again!

I'm not 100% but I think the re bar is the actual structure piece of the bumper behind the valance.

yeah, the rebar is the actual metal bumper, then youve got a styrofoam filler, then the cover.

Try looking here for some salvage yard prices. www.car-part.com That's what I done when I switched to the Denali front end. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y103/sprttrk/frontclip2.jpg

I just did the swap on my 91 GMC using all factory parts. The only thing that I found diffrent was that the grll ues 2 small brackets in the center. The factory Cad bumper has it own brackets.I ended up using a 06 GMC bumper insted.

Nice truck :)
Another thing I was worried about was that the bod lines not lining up, but your truck looks to line up perfect.
I have not been able to get any prices on this stuff yet, do you mind tellin me about how much you got your stuff for? Do you get it from a dealer or junk yard?
Thanks again

I bought most of it for $300.00 from a friend who ended up parting out his truck. I had to buy a new drivers side fender that was about 200.00 and the bumper was another $200.00. Used parts are out there you just have to keep looking.
