I will be buying new tires/wheels for my truck in the very near future and ive decided on Moto Metal 951 black for the wheels but still am undecided on tires, but ive narrowed it down to either the Toyo Open Country MT or the new Kumho Road Venture MT.

Tires will be 33" and i am still undecided on 18" or 20" rims.

Truck is my daily driver(about 500 miles a week), and will be pulling my 20' lawn service trailer daily with 2 JD Z-Trak 757's, Scag 36" commercial walk behind(may soon be buying another), 2 commercial Toro 21" mowers, 3 trimmers, ect. And occasionally pull a skid loader(if my Dodge 2500 isnt avalable) So there will be a little bit more weight on the tires... id obviously like them to last as long as possible.

Any input is appriciated. I need to get this stuff ordered soon, my BFG's are beyond shot.

Definitley go w/ the Kumho on 18" rims. I dont like Toyo's, too many people have them. Just out of curiosity, are you lookin at the Kumho M/T KL71 or the M/T 834?

get 18 inch rims. 20's and 33 tires is kinda homo imo

I vote Kumho's with 18's. like above don't really care for 20's with that small of a tire. Only negative I've seen with the kumhos is that their tread depth isn't as much as your normal mt tire (like 15/32 vs 18/32) or something like that. Nothing against toyo's but everybody has them and I like to be different. plus I think they look great, good sidewall, nice tread pattern and betting their pretty quiet as well..

I found a good deal on some barely used Moto Metal 18"s. 18's and the Kumhos is what i was leaning to anyway... but does anyone know about the wear? How many miles can i expect?

go with the 20" Kumho's. I really like the big wheel look with aggressive tires. I have 20" Black 951's for sale that I only used for 1500 miles on my k5 blazer if interested.

I like the look of the kumho's more. And less people have them.

I might even decide to go with kumho's over mud grapplers.

Bad news, the Kumhos arent available in 33" for anything bigger than a 15" rim. I will be going with 33x12.50x18 Toyos on Moto Metals. :cheer:

i dont think kumho has a 33" tire for a 20 atleast not in the kl71 so i would go toyo, but if they made the kl71 in that size i would have already gotten it

Kumhos do have a 35-12.50-18 that measures some thing like 34.6 inches. They do look sweet and if you go this route check out a ebay store the rim-zone or some thing like that. They have those ( 35 12.50 18 ) for $1075 + shipping of $175 I think. They also have several wheel and tire packages with the 33's you are intrested in. Good luck in your decision.

Wow, the poll is a close race. My buddy has Toyo MTs on his Toyota Tundra and never gets stuck. Sadly he has ripped more stuff off the truck because the tires always dig in and get him out. (Trailer hitch wiring/connector, exhaust, steering system...)

Daily towing with oversize mud grips? Sounds like you like buying lots of tires. The 18s will be cheaper to replace in 20,000 miles than the 20s will. Are you considering load range availability?

i would say toyo, irregardless of the fact that everyone else runs them.

I just got 33x12.50x18 Kumho road venture MT on my Black Helo Max 6 rims. They are a badass tire. Good traction and not very loud for an MT. I got mine from tire rack for $1200 shipped. I only have about 500 miles on them, so curious to see how they wear.

Keep them rotated and aired properly and you will get 30K-40K easy.
