Sup guys, thinking bout some new wheels for the future... What would be a good offset front and rear for my 81?

I really want them right up to fender, maybe a mm or two in. I was thinking about air bagging the truck later, but i've gotten away from that idea for a couple reasons. So i'm not real worried about clearance on the ground, i just want nice fitment of the wheels. I've never liked how the wheels are so far in on these trucks.

This is what i want out of my truck...

Basically... wide wheel, deep lip, close tolerances... LMK what you guys come up with... Thanks

Well, how wide you plan on going? You know narrow wheels need a more negative offset to line up with the fender lips, wider wheels will need more positive offset...

Measure the backspacing on the stock rims. Move it in or out to get it where you want it. Keep tire size in mind, for rubbing issues. If you increase the rim width, you'll prob want to increase the backspace.
