Please help to identify

I took my dash apart to see if I could notice if anything was wrong with my headlight switch. I was wondering if somebody could please explain to me what the green wire/plug is for in the center section. It was wraped in some protective cushion. Im thinking that it is for the stock fog lights. Could somebody with an OBS please look for me on their truck.

Also can somebody explain what this little lever is for on the back of the passenger side front seat.

And lastly could somebody who knows wiring explain what the purple wire controls and why the previous owner might have connected another wire to it.

Mitch, the easiest way to find out what that harness is for is to get a voltmeter and test continuity between the connector and the empty accy slots in your fuse box (fog lights etc..), as far as the other wire connected to what looks like the parking light wire, it may have been tapped for the flashing lights on a alarm. as far as the black thing on the seat, I have no idea.

what kind of truck is it. i think all trucks have the cargo light. and may be those others or a 4x4 or fog light. idont know
i have is the cargo, and as far a that lever maybe for a child seat for the standed cab ???. and the other wire may some one had fog lights and that's for the relay

The purple wire on your headlight switch is for the door pins they may have tied in an alarm or something. As for the green harness like dragnbye said it is most likely for an option your truck did not come with

Im just wondering if I could find out if the green harness is for stock fog lights then I can wire mine into that switch
