I switched from heat to AC in my truck today(both driver and passenger at the same time) and the passenger side continued to blow nothing but hot air. Got home, killed it and started it back up and it worked perfectly on both sides. Does this sound like the damper or an actuator on it's way out the door?

Thanks

Buy a new truck.

My dad's 03 3/4 ton had the same problem...the dealership claimed they fixed it 3 different times but it kept happening. They never actually fixed it but thats not our problem anymore, cause my dad just traded up to an 07'

Yea that would be ideal each time something went wrong but unfortunately not an option.

Hey Bud
I Work At A Chevrolet Dealer In The Parts Dept. We Have Been Seeing Quite Of Those Come In Last Year But It Looks As If Gm Finally Got Their Act Together. It's Not Acctually The Damper Or The Door. It's The Actuator It's Self. Your Looking At Spending Any Where Between $45.00-70.00 To Get The Part. The Actuator That Your Looking For Is Called The Mode Or Air Temp Actuator. WHAT IS MAKING THIS ACTUATOR MALFUNTION IS NOT GIVING THE ACTUATOR ENOUGH OF A DELAY TO ADJUST TO THE SETTING. YOUR ACTUATOR MAY BE OUT THE DOOR BUT IF YOU TAKE IT EASY ON THE TEMP ADJUST ON THE NEW ONE IT SHOULD LAST QUITE A BIT LONGER.

Awesome, thats exactly what I have been looking for, Thanks for news. I have a center console, do I have to take it out to replace the actuator or is it where I can get to it without having to take it out?

Where is that Actuator located?
