I have a 1987 short wide and I have 2000 model 327 and all of the wiring harness what elese will i have to change i know i have to change the fuel pump.

Yes you can. You can even ditch the fuel injection, and get a carb and manifold for this. You would need a stand alone ignition, but you wouldn't have to deal with computer tuning. Here is a 49-52 Chevy with a 5.3 out of a newer truck in it

It belongs to a local Hot Rod shop. Toll Road Customs in Mt Vernon, Il. I think.
