Anybody who has read my post recently knows I am planning to a top end and cam change on my 95 5.7 TBI.

I had my list ready to go which included a set of heads, cam - lifters, intake and a custom dyno tune.

Unfortunatly some unexpected medicals bills presented them selves this month.

I can no longer afford the heads. But I have purchased Comp Cams CCA-K12-268-4 cam, lifters, springs and timming set, a Holley 300-66 Projection TBI intake w/2" throttle bores and a set of three underdrive pulley's.

My question is: this cam and intake set up will yield around 5500-5800 rpm, do you think the stock swirl port heads will be adaquit with the new high lift springs, untill I can afford better heads?

Oh yeah, I also plan to install 1.6 PRW roller tip elongated rockers arms.

Has any one ever flow tested the stock swirl port heads? I heard they flow around 185cc....?

I just built the same thing 95 5.7 on my tahoe, thats a 474 lift on the cam right??? well she runs real well but I still need a tune cant find the time to get to the dyno,I kept the stock heads and had em worked by a reputable(I hope its right)machinists who builds race engines for a living (30+yrs)I'm looking for torque being a 4x4..but I need a tune bad to get all it has out of it....I think you'll be happy with it,I'm with mine but need to tune it....Pete
