I read somewhere about a R&D fog light controller that automatically turns the fog lights on when the parking lights and low beams are on. All the links from here are now dead and I haven't been able to find anything using google. Are these still around or something similar?
This is for a '99 nbs z71
I know there is the auto foglight mod but I don't really care about having the fog lights on with high beams since I'll be doing the 4-high mod as well.
Thanks!

You could just hook up a relay to the fogs and the parking lights and have them come on when ever the parking lights are on, that would cost like 2 or 3 bucks. not really any need for a controller. I am sure this is all that controller is.

The auto mod will make them come on with the parking lights.

:word: just use a relay with the trigger wire coming from a wire sliced into the parking lights. When the parking lights are on, it will send a signal to the relay to close the connection to turn on your fogs. No need for an expensive controller.

So will this relay only cut the fogs on automatically when the parking lights are on, and then you have to manually turn the fogs on for when the headlights are on?
I think I'll just endup going with the grounding under the dash method so that they are always on. I was thinking about having the high and low beams on at the same time plus fog lights and having that cause problems but I always turn the highs off before a car would be close enough to notice anyway.
Thanks guys, great info!

That makes sense. You can tell how long I've stood in front of my truck with the lights on
Thanks for the help!
