Bought a 2001 Chevy reg. cab 2wd 5.3 liter a few weeks ago and want to go with a hotrod look.I've been looking at tire/wheel setups and found one that might give me the look I want;Front-Kumho 255/55/16 tire with 16x8 wheel,Back-BFgoodrich 295/50/16 tire with 16x10 wheel.I also want to drop it some to take up some space between tire and fender.I don't want a big drop just enough that the tires fill in the wheel well nicely.I would appreciate any advice on how much to drop it and what system/company to go with.I would also like to know what you think of the tire/wheel setup. Is this setup going to give me the look I want without looking awkward? If it is or you know of a better setup that might work I would appreciate the input.

I think that set up will look fine. Just get a good looking wheel like a salt flat type wheel or a Torque Thrust. As for drop, I'd go like a 3/4, that way it'll have a little rake.

Right now I'm looking at Ion Alloy Style 165 wheel. You can check it out on carolina classic truck website.I think these wheels will look good on the tires I have chosen.
