I installed some replacement power window regulators and motors in my 88. I bought some 6 prong reverse polarity switches and wired them from scratch. I ran the power straight to the battery for now, thinking that I would like not having the hassle of rolling up/down the wondows with the key in. Everything works excellent, BUT I just got a DEI 530t and I was wondering if it will work with how my motors and switches are wired up. If you hold the switch after the window is all the way (up or down), you can still feel the motors trying to move quite a bit.
With those modules, how do they know when to stop applying power to your motor? I would think that somewhere in the wiring would be some type of 'cut off' of the power after the window has gone all the way. I am imagining that how mine is set up, when I press the 'one touch' function or roll up/dwn from the remote, the module will not know when to stop letting power go to the motor. I have never messed with a truck like mine equipped with power windows to know what's up. Thanks for any help.
