Does anyone know if there is a monitor that will fit where the tape deck is on a 2000 Silverado? I saw one on Ebay a couple years ago that had a 6.5" Alpine(???) monitor and the factory looking molding around it.

i just put a 7inch kenwood unit in my 2004 fit perfect. just need a double din mounting kit

I'm not too sure if it will fit or not, as I have heard that the 1999-2002, didn't have a full double din opening, but I could be wrong. and I can vouch for OC04, his screen does look pretty good in there, but I could've sworn you said it was a 6.5"

The 99 to 02's only have 1.5 din openings, with the 03+ going to the double dins

it is usually tilted down a bit more i guess i had it adjusted up for the glare from the sun.

I have a 2001 with a double din Kenwood. It can be done.

Good lookin' setup. I have the single or 1.5 din opening, I wonder how I could get a double din to fit?

i think you have to trim the bezel shouldnt be that big a deal

You have to pick up the dash frame piece for the radio/hvac controls and a 03-06 dash bezel. Swap the 00-02 frame piece with the 03-06 one and make a 3/4" spacer for the hvac controls. Its not very hard to do.

Here is a picture of my 2001 Suburban. It used to have the 1.5 din opening.
