Well, I finally got time to do some stuff I've been wanting to do for a while now. I bought a new dash bezel a few weeks ago, so I could sand/prime/paint it and not be bezeless for a couple days. I also repainted my sub box to match the bezel.
On to the pics:

The sub box looks awesome! Not feeling the dash though... to much white I think. How do you get that paint to look all marble like?

Thanks, the whole point of doing the dash/box was to bring the white into the cab. On the bezel it would've looked a little much if I didn't break up the the marble. The marble look is very easy to accomplish with 4-5 colors, and a plastic bag, much easier/cheaper/and better looking then the marblizer you buy imo.

sweet. looks really good. any tips on the marble effect? at first look, it looks like black suede.
edit: now that i think about it ive seen a magazine article & they used the plastic wrap, but i think they only used 2 colors.

The articles I've seen used a plastic wrap applied to a painted surface, then pulled away. The technique I use is simlar to sponge painting on house walls. Just crumpling up the plastic different ways to give different textures. I use more than two color to give more depth.
Samson, my MTX's are an old set of Thunder6000's I bought my Fiance for Valentine's day about 4 years ago, the box they were orignally in was and under seat in my 91' and it sucked. I built this box to the sealed specs. on the subs spec. sheet. And yeah they do sound pretty good.

Like the box a lot, dash is good as well. You got skills. A bit much on the white for my tastes (though your truck is WHITE afterall...), but it's pretty unique. Now just clean your damn floor mats  :D

Your work looks good but for me its just such a strange contrast in colors. It just doesn't quite seem to fit the truck.

Thanks. Rough on the outside, and nice and clean on the inside imo. Plus it's a better way for me to showcase my work to help attract more business, so far all I get now is word of mouth stuff, and my show truck is far from completion.

Looks slick man, I really like it, especially with the matching box in the rear. Very clean looking!

It looks okay. It just looks like your interior is only half way done. The box and dash match but all the rest of the tan interior doesnt match at all. Maybe if you switched to a darker color interior it would look alot better. Or if you reversed the colors on the dash. Make the white look marbled and the marbled painted white.

Is it ever done? I truly will never be done modding anything I own, sorry that I can't do everything I want all at once.
When I get around to it, and when I find more pieces, I plan on doing the overhead console, the air vents on the pass. side, the switch panels in the doors, the speaker grilles, also plan on getting stainless guages, and a set of two-tone katzkin leather covers. Oh and if anyone knows where I can find a set of chrome inner door handles for the extended cab doors post a link, because my Fiance bought me a pair for the fronts last Christmas, but I want a matching pair for the rear. The closest thing I've thought about swapping interior colors out is, getting a black vinyl floor(like the stripped down w/t models) to help clean up easier after mud runs and hunting trips.

Yeah, I don't really know what I was thinking when I originally did it(It looked good while I was spraying it, but that might of been due to painting without a respirator). The test panel I made looked way better, but I don't really know what happened. I've been wanting to repaint it for a long time(since the day I painted it the first time).
and thanks LOWZ71, and others, at least some of you got good tastes

I didn't take it as you didn't like it, I knew exactly what you were saying. I got a lot of that after I first did it. Dad said it was like some 70's phsycadelic(sp) chit. It was just too wild for my tastes, and I wanted to bring it down a few notches.

You nailed it this time man, I think it is a great combo, the white and the marble.

Color choices are not what I would have chosen, but you've done some great work. don't worry about my opinion, i can still see great work when it's displayed. once you get some of the interior started, you will more than likely make the time to get the rest done. starting it out is the hardest part.

Looks good to me, but then again, I remember using the textured trunk coating to do trim pieces in an older mustang I had!! A few people laughed when I did it, a few didn't. Then I started to see it on more and more vehicles!! The white looks good because of the white truck, but I think you do need to re-color the interior. Black would look good and it wouldn't be too hard to do...did it to mine( but I used red trim pieces!).

Nice job man, you just need to do more pieces to offset all of that tan. I don't have the balls to paint anything on the inside of my truck. I'm keeping everything bone stock. There's no turning back unless you buy extra pieces of everything you paint.

i'm usually not one for painted interior trimmings, but the marble is awesome. :rocking: my only gripe is the brown interior, its hard to match, although its nothing a few more coats wont cure :aniteef:

Well, I just bought a new overhead console, so that should be done soon, along with the vent bezels on the passenger side, and also all the speaker grilles. I also just bout a new guage cluster silver face and blue needles.
