How many watts and for how long can a Kicker Solo-Baric L7 10 hold before absolute destruction. Specs say 1200 peak but ive herd u can double that without worries. I want to do 2 10s with a 1000 watts to each, i know theyll hold that but i was wondering the absolute extreme. Also who makes a nice amp capable of dishing out 2000 watts comfortably?

It is 100% dependant on the box size, a smaller box will the more power the sub can take, also there are two types of power handling, the voice coil can only take so much heat and will melt, and the other is the suspension will only flex so much before somthing tears.

they will prolly hold 2kw, not for long though, dont go by peak power ratings, and what paint mixer said is very true too, bigger box will get loud with less power in perfect world

with rap and test tones (bass mekanik) i'd do 600rms per sub. with real music a thousand a piece would be fine. a zx1500.1 would be perfect for them.

Yeah I would not push their limits past what the manufacture specs say...You can tell when they are starting to be pushed too hard when you can smell them...kind of a stale burning type smell...aka not good.
Are you planning to keep them sealed or ported..

Since you are asking the question most likely you don't have the knowledge to severly overpower them. If you buy a bigger amp than rated and don't know exactly what you are doing you will have problems. On the other hand in the right install they can take way more than spec'd.

Something to consider is the type of amp pushing the subs. A low end Walmart special type of amp like a Pyle (read pile of crud), which claims it produces 1000w RMS or some BS trash a sub in a hurry instead of feeding it clean power from a lower wattage amp with clean power.
Speaking from experience, when I was younger I was one of those guys with the 1800watt systems. Once I learnt a bit more and moved to some higher end stuff, my 100watt amps blew it all away.
I dont think there is any chart for comparision but from experience, a smaller quality amp which produces clean power will out perform a lower quality amp which claims enormous overstated power.
