im tired of fighting the cpi. Got a 98 383 stroker all forged eagle rot ass. h beam rods, -17 cc dished pistons, edelbrock etec 200 heads shaved to 58cc. the bigger roller rockers 17s? or 16s? cant remember. and a whipple charger. what all options do i have to get this mpi or who can tune it? ive paid fastchips already and it will barley make it around the block. please someone give me some input.

you are gonna have a lot of trouble with cpi as you already know. it wont fuel the 383 let alone the boosted version. your option to keep the package as is, is to get a marine intake conversion, which will let you change the injectors to handle the output because it moves them to the outside of the intake. then you can get rid of the whipple crap and just run the blower and have it tuned right. other than that will reqpire a lot of change in the overall package. there are a lot of guys on here familiar with the marine conversion and can help you out. hope this gets you in the right direction.

The stock PCM, Fastchip will be able to tune it for teh marine intake.
here is some info onthe marine intake.

It allows teh use of larger fuel injectors, teh CSFI you have only uses 19pph injectors that flow 22.? pph of fuel at the Vortecs 60 psi of fuel pressure.
In teh mean time take it easy on you truck, no WOT.

Go to page 27 of that link I gave you and talk to Pecos(Matt) via PM on the PPE site. Page 27 has the locations of both new and used marine intakes. He may set you up with a manifold that is allready drilled. The wiring entails of lengthening the 16 injector wires that are allready on the truck. The manifold itself simply bolts in place of the stock intake. There is some minor fabbing of the coil mount, fuel lines.
I dont know of anyone who sells a complete setup ready to drop in as the manifolds are designed for marine use and not a truck application.
