I already asked this, but still need help... i am trying to hook up a gps to a cigeret lighter, but am hiding the wire. i bought a cigerette lighter extension, and cut of the head. i have a ground grounded, but need to hook up the positive wire. i was told to hook it up to the brown ignition wire, but cant find it. i was thinking that i could wire it to the fuse pannel, but i dont know. any help would be great. thanks

Tie it into the ignition wire behind the radio. it will be near the orange wire I think its green but it maybe yellow(I don't remember when they changed it). The wires are in seperate sections and the wire you need will be in the same section as the orange constant hot wire.

so you are saying to put it on the same power wire as the radio? i guess that would work, becasue i want it to turn off when the truck is off. do you think that will have any affect on the radio? i dont know, just a thought...
