sierra H/O has some cherry bomb extremes, pretty much the same thing at 10's. just a single chamber muffler. do a search, i know he as sound clips posted a few places on here.

i run an Extreme on my truck, and love it. about as loud as straights would be, but has a better tone. still has a distinct chambered tone to it.

Here's the thread I started when I got my Cherry Bomb put on. It's been almost 6 months, and I still feel I made the best desicion.

From what his thread said it was a single in dual out cherry bomb, but I have another question, what all do you have leading up to it? Headers/cats?

oh ok.
well to fix the droning on that, have an exhaust shop cut a small section of drivers side pipe from the muffler flush on the back and then about 4 inches back from there....
then get about six inches of pipe, flare one end to fit back onto your tailpipe and stick about 1 1/2 inches of the new pipe into the muffler itself and weld it in place....

i got this idea from Ford...when they first introduced the fuel injected mustang in 86, they had re-done the exhaust from previous designs...anyhow, they had a horrible droning problem and they fixed it by 87 by changing the mufflers.... they made one muffler one inch longer than the other and it went away...hence why a mustang with stock exhaust doesnt drone and one with aftermarkets mufflers like flows, does.....
so one day a customer came back and was complaining of droning on his truck and i had just read about this, so i explained to him i wanted to experiment with it, he said he didnt care, just make it stop, so i did it and damned if it didnt work beautifully... i impressed myself on that one :)

and for you guys with two mufflers, dont place them next to one another, stagger them from each other... i figured that out on mine...

sorry for the long post but hope it helps...

mine is a SI/DO extreme. i just have stock exhaust up to the muffler. stock manifolds and cats. hopefully one day i can afford to put headers and ORY on it. i really want it louder, but it si pretty loud as is.

It's all stock from the muffler forward. The drone isn't that bad, I called it a drone for lack of a better term. I think once I put some more aggressive tires on it, the tire hum will be louder than the exhaust(at interstate cruising speed). Thanks for the compliments too.
