i have searched and can't seem to find the answer im looking for. i have a 2006 silverado. Not bose. When you are wiring component speakers to the stock wiring, which set of wires do you use for the input on the crossover, the woofer wires or the tweeter wires? Or does it matter? :dunno:

decided not to go with components, do not want to have to run another amp, the alpine PDX 1.1000 is enough strain on my alternator as it is. But thanks for the help guys

an amp for the highs won't draw crap! It has to sound like crap with tons of bass and no highs!

I agree wholeheartedly. Pretty ghetto to have a 1kW on your subs and nothing on the fronts, has to sound like complete arse.

yeah to me there is no reason to have components and not amp them. your HU will not put out sufficient enough power to make them even sound good or half as good as the would with enough power. good choice on not going with components. pick up some nice coaxles and those will sound a whole lot nicer then stock without amping them. but if you decide on another amp go with components. once you do you will never go back!
