well, im thinking about changing my muffler basically, like having a extra muffler, i can swap into place when i want to be quite... then in summer or so, switching/weld back my current magnaflow.. for show.. :naughty:
I just want to be quite when I creep, and being lifted is gaining me more attention than ever so... now i want to be quite, but still have tons of performance. I know my magna now 3" SI/SO round & 30" long is about 550 cfm, up from the stock 220 something cfm.. way more than double the cfm.
is it possible to have enough cfm muffler for my combo, without dampering performance? I do not run kitties either.. kitty & stock muffler was still pretty loud... but is it any other alternatives? or is it kitty time, and free flow exhaust?
what are my options....

I would recommend the Dynomax super turbo muffler. It won't be stealthy quiet at idle, but it won't wake the neighborhood either. I have experience with this muffler on all sorts of engine designs and sizes and it never gets obnoxiously loud. But if the stock muffler was too loud with the cat removed, then this setup won't be a good fit for your demands. You would probably have to get a cat or two re-installed and go from there.

Add a 4" Magnaflow muffler in front of your current muffler and that will give you the quietness you want.

cutouts is not a option.. & just like i said NO kitty, with stock exhaust was still decently loud..

what about this? its 14" case length, but 4" overall diameter 3"SI/SO

well im sure in a mall or parking deck i would too... :naughty: just want a low profile now, i get noticed as is, just starting the truck and leting it idle.
so far im thinking about another magnaflow in front of my big magna, to make it quite, sorta like the quite sleeper.. everyone dont have to stop what they are doing when i get on the throttle.. cause i do like to drive like i stole it.. :D

That's the one I'm talking about....I call it a 4" Magnaflow because its 4" round.

Yenko how quite will my setup be with the 4" magna? in front of the other magna? will it be completely quite?
I got on it like yesterday, and boy it sounds good, i really dont think i even want to mess with the exhaust again. but after i finish DIY tuning, i will install this 4"

At WOT, you will still have the same aggressive-ness as the current setup but it will just cut out the rasp more. You will still have the cammin sound at idle but it will just mellow out a little more and be a little more quieter.

You could clamp this one on after your current one. That way in the summer you could simply unclamp & remove from there back. Then maybe clamp a turndown in it's place.
