inside or outside?if inside just drill the rivits off and pull the rods off in the back and dont lose the little plastic clips on the ends of the rods. put it back on the same way u took it off and use screws where the rivits were

I have to do this too, does the autozone handle match the factory one pretty good, or should I go through the stealership to get it?

In case it helps, here is what things look like on the inside:

By the way:

Ruger4d4,
I am jealous of your truck – that is a very nice looking OBS.

Did it get harder and harder over time to open the door from the inside before it broke? If so I think I'm gonna have to do this too, because sometimes I swear somethings gonna break if I pull any harder.

Pull off the door panel, then you can unbolt the back steel backing, but it won't want to come off because of the door lock linkage. With a buddy I was able to disconnect the linkages behind the black steel back part and manuever the new one in and connect it.
