Yeah i am not sure where to mount my Cb in my 2003 Sierra. I don't really want to do any drilling. Post me some pics if you can.

I got a little cobra unit that I mounted on my 01. Put it under the dash next to the console if you look under the lower dash there a metal support which I drilled into, the unit is small enough that it doesn't interfere with my leg and it was easier to wire up to the fuse box, ran the antenna cable behind the front console. Works well, I'm sure there are better ways to do it. Just ran the cable out to the magnet mount antenna. I found the best way to put it through the door if you only want it temporary is to pull the weatherstripping out then slide the cable behind it.

Correct! Can anyone post up some pics? By the way i don't have a center console. I have a full front seat.

Read more carefully, I also explained how I installed my unit. I put mine under my dash attached to the stock bracket that came with the unit shaped like [ on its side

to the support at the bottom of the lower dash board.there is a sturdy metal bar that runs from the door to the center console.

Thats the easiest install I can think of, other then some of my friends who just stuff them in between the seat and the console.

How big is your cb?

X2 that is where I mounted my scanner on the metal bar and it is not going anywhere and i put my cb right beside it.

If you would be OK with drilling two holes, you could use the supplied CB bracket and mount it to the underside of the lower storage pocket in the middle part of the dash. I don't have one in mine yet, but that is where it will be. You can also attach your mic hanger to the side of the CB as well.

I have a PA also and I really don't use it too much but everytime my friends get in my truck they have to play with it and yell at people, however i do like to talk to the people crossing the road in front of me at a red light and talking to people on main street.

Midnight_rider, you said you have a scanner. What kind of scanner, and do you have any pics?

I was planning a stealth install on my truck a few weeks ago, but money got a bit tight so I didn't peruse it any further than imagination quite yet. Basically what I was going to do was mount the CB to the bottom of my seat (so that when I move the seat the CB moves with it), and put the mic clip on the side of the seat (the side facing the door). Since the CB would be under the seat, I was planning on putting an external speaker in the driver's side stock back speaker (I don't use them, I just use the ones in the doors).

Completely stealth, not in the way. The only problem with this setup is you couldn't play with the gains and whatnot on the run, but that doesn't bother me as I usually don't need to (or I didn't on my bronco anyway). The antenna was going to be a firestik firefly (thin antenna) and I was going to mount it where the stock antenna resides. The stock antenna has been hidden under the hood, so there's a nice spot for it. I hear that it may be somewhat uni-directional, but I don't mind it, and I got 10 miles on my other truck (it was on the tire carrier, to the far right of the truck).

Basically my install was to have a CB for highway cruising, and talking with the guys when we're on the road, and NOT to talk to Oklahoma from here. Plus I wanted it completely stealth, so it works well for me.

I'll post up the results once I actually get some cash back up (girlfriend's birthday wiped me out).

It's a uniden bc350c with nascar on the front and it's 800 mhz. Not sure where it is from cause it was a Christmas gift but I use it to listen to the local police and fire departments. Sorry no pics but it is mounted under the dash on the metal bar very same spot that 2500ak mounted his cb in the pic above. It was a very easy install. The antenna is the suction cup glass type antenna but i cut the suction cups off and ran it under the passenger side door sill and I get great reception.
