What do you all think of clear corners? Also where did you get them, I haven't really been able to find any, other than the ones with the little orange thing in them. Also, headlights and turn signals?

Thanks

what year truck are you talking about?

on NBS and NNBS truck the corner lights are made into the headlight and you have to take the headlight apart to make them clear.

on OBS and older truck, the corner lights are separate but not sure where to get clear ones.

I have the clear corners, and I hate them. Always fogged up, you can see the bulb. I'm changing to the stock style clear reflective ones.

I do like them, but I have had a few sets that leak and dont seal up so when u wash ur truck u get water in them. I would look for a quality brand, and no ebay cheapies, the APC ones seem to work well going on 2 years in my friends hoe.

While we're on the topic... Is it really true that they're not "allowed" to manufacture the clears anymore, due to "you have to have at least one amber reflector" law? That's what I was told at a local truck shop... :dunno:

Is it possible to have clear corners, that blink orange so they are legal, yet you cant see the ugly orange bulb during the day time?

You should be able to get "chrome" bulbs... They show up as a dark chrome color and blink orange/amber.

Now, don't quote me on this, but I believe the clearing of corners is on the NBS trucks.

And no I don't have any part #'s.

I got my LED bulbs from vleds. They are the surface mount style, but any will do and they are all clear.

On the OBS's, just buy some and if they leak, re-seal them. Piece of cake...

I saw that NBS uses size 3157 bulbs for front/rear turns....does this mean 3157 LED's will plus right in?

sorry to kinda jack this...

I think they would look ok.... if I ever saw some that fit like factory. All the ones I've seen look crooked or smaller than they should for some reason.

My '88 came with clear corners and Euro tails. I switched the tail lights for stock pieces and I think I'm gonna get rid of the clear corners. The truck looks funny with them, IMO. I may install LED bulbs, but that's not a definite.

I had a big issue with this. Because the OBS tails use a circuit board, they require a special 3157 for the middle bulb of the tails. VLEDs sell them, the are called SRCK or something similar. The top bulb is a standard 3157 bulb.

these look pretty good while the chrome is still on them, i got phillips turn signal chrome bulbs and they chrome chipped off within 6 months, i figured phillips would be a good brand guess not tho, but if u can get a good brand they look great behind some clears.

NBS is just straight 3157 bulbs because they eliminated the *wonderful* circuit board design.

My work sells them, but they are a clear hazy type ones, and if you throw an amber LED bulb in there, itll look completely clear, there like 59 bucks... from Anzo USA

APC had the completely clear ones, but there out of business cuz of poor quality products and couldnt keep up with all their warrenties.

I have some clear turns from Elegante, they are pretty good IMO i have never had to fog up or fill with water. I got them off of stylintrucks.com. Also i have the chrome bulbs in them. they looks really good during the day, and the chrome has yet to come off and i have had them since the first of August.

I do not have a picture of them at night, but here is a __>LINK<__ (http://s27.photobucket.com/albums/c168/hpiracing/?action=view&current=PA050165.jpg) to them at night time. They are not very bright, but i think they still look ok.

Does anybody by chance know off the top of there heads where you can find clear corners for a 92' truck top and bottom?

Theres the link. They cost a little bit, but i think they are well worth it when it comes to haveing clear lights in the daytime, you cant really see them at all unless you get down and give them a good look

I got the reflective clears at carpartswholesale.com for like $16 shipped and got a regular orange bulb. You can't really see the bulb in the day. looks good works great, it helps if your turn signals and headlights arent yellowed
