I have dealt with Jasper engines in used cars. If you like stock and boring then its for you. I have seen a 4.3 v6 from them last 130000 miles without an issue.

I would look into a gm crate motor. You can get them at any gm dealer. usually cheaper than jasper and I think they are new not re-manufactured. They have a good warranty as well.

Kinda related. The guy that wheels with me that has the ZR2 Blazer just put a Jasper trans in. He loves it so far but it's only been in about two months. Soory bro, that's the only Jasper experience I've got.
I got the roller 350 that is in the Chevelle from Pep Boys for around $1200. That was about 13 years ago though....

my brother had a jasper 305 that he installed in one of his trucks about 8 or 9 years ago. he put probably 50-75k miles on it without a problem.

i dont believe any large scale company like jasper has enough quaity conrol to get evey engine perferct and they are less than perferct for the 3500 instaled i payed for my first one i could built and tuned a really nice motor and put it in myself the cam is lest than destiable they wont give you any specs with the motor i had to call next one gm short block vortech heads and gmpp intake and nice cam and a dyno tune ive been driving a jasper for like 20000 miles will never buy a nother
