2008 Siverado complete exhaust system

I'm buying a 2008 Silverado 1500 and i'm looking for advice on a exhaust system for it. Headers all the way back to rear duals. What headers would you buy? Will an exhaust system from say magnaflow bolt right up to headers or will mods be needed? Or should i buy headers and have a local shop make me up a custom dual exhaust system? Thanks for any advice.

Should bolt up... If not, any competent exhaust shop should be able to handle it.

Since about 1999 the stock exhaust up to the muffler really flows exceptionally well. The only real limitation would be the exhaust manifolds themselves. Even the manifolds aren't that bad though, nothing like the old days anyway. If it were me I would get some direct replacement headers, throw on a new cat back or if you wanted dual it after the cats, leave the cats and call it good. It will flow very well. No sense in replacing what doesn't need to be.

for the best current bolt up go dynatech headers w/ y-pipe and highflow cats to either a borla or corsa catback... if u can wait another couple months kooks is coming out with a complete header system w/ y and cats which imo is even better than the dynatechs

I just had a custom done and it sounds better than any mag or borla I have heard on the 08... I have duels with 45 pointed down behind the tires!

I have the Corsa, its not the loudest. but its not bad. I like it, sorta wish I woulda gone with the magnaflow though. there both good though. and I am looking at getting the dynatech headers and high flow cats which are real nice.
