aftermaket tach location and mounting

i bought a 5" monster tach with a shift light from auto meter and wanted to mount it on the right side of the dash on the side of the rubber molding but the molding is to soft and the screws are going to rip out HELP!!!!!:fsc: also post your pics of ur mounting location

I put one there on my 92 i drilled through the thick plastic and used 2 nuts and bolts. you will have to remove the heater controls so you dont drill a hole through it. Sorry i dont have a picture of it I no longer own the truck.
