Running axel dumps and turndowns on my 97 yukon.

LT's with a crossover and two 14" magnaflow oval bodies.

Dont think i want to point the turndowns straight down cause i hear you get an awful drone at cruising.

I know its gonna be loud but worried if i turn them out on a 45 degree angle itll be too loud.

Almost thinking of pointing them inward at a 45 degree angle.

what do you guys think

none of the above, you drive a yukon, and with turndowns underneath you WILL get exhaust fumes inside, if you insist on running turndowns, run them after the axle and right before the rear bumper

and i ran 2 3" turndowns off my 22" magnaflow right before the axle in my truck, angled to the outside of the truck, and the drone was horrible at interstate speeds,

this is a temporary solution because i cant afford the work that will go into two over axel pipes for now

i know its not going to be the best, but trying to find out what my best alternative is

im starting to think turned out is going to be the quietest for in the cab, and loudest for everyone else outside, which im quite allright with lol

i had turndowns angled out on my old truck. It was loud outside, but not to bad inside. if you point them inwards, i would say you will get alot of noise inside the cab.

If it's just temporary anyways, just clamp them in there whichever way you see fit. If they annoy you, just loosen the clamp and turn them and see if that helps! I would suggest they be pointed 45 degrees outwards anyhow, that way the exhaust won't bounce off the ground so much and give you tons of drone. Keep in mind you WILL get drone with turndowns regardless. Good Luck!

ill probably have it all welded. Its temporary in the sense that its not how id like the system to be, but theres a looong list of things i need to buy before the noise of the exhaust on my truck will be important

thanks for the input guys, out it is
