I need some ideas. I am getting my muffler soon with turn downs. Which muffler style should I go with?
14"? Smaller? Larger?
Single out or dual out?
I of course want the least back pressure and smooth air flow for maximum performance and mpg. And keep in mind i dont want it to be so loud that every cop is on my ass lol.
Oh and I am going with magnaflow cuz I am getting a sick deal on magnaflow from my bud
Thanks :)

What kind of truck? Engine size? Does your truck have one inlet of the exhaust or two?

14 or 18 both will be quieter than a flo. I like flow-40s
i just put 18" on my 4.8l silverado.
toooo quiet.
im strongly considering changing it in a month or two.

Too quiet as in you want something loud, or too quiet as in almost like the factory?

approaches stock while at idle :( once im on it it sounds ok, but too quiet at any rpm under WOT

What model do you have? That's exactly what I'm looking for!

I've got the 5x11x22 case muffler in my catback (http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/shopexd.asp?zone=TRK&id=6729). Nice tone at idle... speaks well under throttle... can conduct a conversation at cruise. No drone.
