02 4.3 no cats and muffler.....scratching my head...

OK so I have a 4.3 with the cats recently cut off going back to a cherry bomb chambered muffler that is cut off right after the muffler... where i am going nuts is that it sounds like a big f*ckin honda... i need some suggestions as in would a tailpipe help it or do i need to change mufflers or i got nothing... it used to sound real nice till i cut the cats off( the were bad)...lemme know what u think...

i ran my 4.3 with no cats and no muffler for awhile and it soundend awful. i eventually went with a 36' glass pack it was a alot quieter but if you get on it you can tell its definatly a 4.3

4.3's sound like azz when the exhaust is loud. Get a muffler that provides a deep tone, and keep it fairly quiet, and it'll sound a lot better.

i am really thinking about getting a magnaflow muffler... any comments on that? any one got sound clips of it?

heres a couple different combos on a 4.3 v6. I'm also need to find a good sounding exhaust for my truck, I think I am going to put a flowmaster 40 sido and run two pipes straight out the back. I hear flowmasters sound pretty good on the v6

magnaflow wouldnt sound to bad. alot better than a flow
