My passenger window seems to be off track. I took it to a chevy dealership (AKA king pocket pickers) and they told me i needed a new regulator. I told them to go screw cause i can still hear the motor and everything running. Has anyone else ever had this problem/similar problem? I should also mention that this side motor was replaced a few months back, if that adds to my cause....Thanks guys.

just because the motor is running doesn't mean the regulator is good. pull off the door panel more than likely the gear that runs on the motor could be stripped or one of the plastic wheels is broken or could be something rusted out. good luck.

actually the regulator is a common problem. i would do the motor and regulator at the same time just so you wont have to take it apart again if for any reason the motor goes bad a couple months or a year later. im not saying the motor is gonna go bad but its up to you.

I recently had the exact same problem on my drivers side door on my 99 1500. The regulator part itself was $188 for the track and the wires that pull the glass up. The dealer quoted me $85 for installation to put it in. I may try to do it myself though.
When mine went out i was rolling the window down and it just sorta popped and wouldn't go up or down. i pulled the door panel off and one of the wires snapped. the window will still go up and down if i pull on it but the window motor and regulator won't move it anymore.
