View Full Version : what amp to power 2 12" in ch kickers?

Lookin gfor the right amp to power 2 12" shalow mount kickers, dual 4 ohm at 800 watts peak and 400 watts rms. I dont want to break the bank on an amp, i was lookin gat power acoustic and others, im just not sure how much to run to them because i dont want to blow them, help would be appreciated!!

dude stay with kicker on this one and go for the zx750 thats solid enough to power those and you would be really happy with it. Your setup is what I have been looking at but just 10's to put underneath my extended cab seat. It might be a little pricey, but you get what you pay for from kicker.

the pair of subs will present a final load of either 4 ohms or 1 ohm depending on how they're wired to NO on the kicker amp.

cheap, reliable, but will definately suck more current than a class d amp. seems like there aren't nearly as many 1 ohm stable amps out these days for some reason. either way as a rule of thumb i refuse to take ANY amp below 2 ohms.
