2008 silverado...where do I go through firewall?

I'm trying to install a PA horn for my CB. I can't find anywhere to go through the firewall for the wire. The wiring that goes through to the left of the steering column has a huge boot that I don't want to mess up, but is there an easy way to go through there? Easy to go through the fenders?

I go through that boot ur talking about. So does a lot of other peeps. I just poke a hole through it with a screw driver, good to go.

You MAY be able to go through the factory harness grommet but not if you have any sort of connection on the end of the wire or its bigger that maybe a 12ga wire.

If I were you I would buy a grommet and go through the blank spot next to the harness. If you look under the driver's side dash, you'll see the harness come through the firewall and a punched-out hole in the plastic/matting just down and to the right of it. Drill through there and put your grommet in.
