Is my component blown?

Is my component speaker blown? It started acting up a few days ago. It makes sound but hardley any sound. The amp is only like 60 watts...

Well look at it, smell it. If the cone is busted then obviously you need a new speaker. If it smells burnt then your coil is fried. If its none of those then I would suspect the wiring not getting through to the components. My speakers would make funny noises once in a while, like ugly static noises, and popping noises, and they would play very lightly, and i confluded it was my amplifier making the speaker do funny things, it had to do something with the crossover switch, cause when i wiggled it it would clear up the signal. So just start from the source and work your way through

I checked the cross over, but everything is tight and good to go...what now?

sure the amp's putting out? try it on a different speaker.

Hmmm, good idea. Ill swap the wires and see if that changes anything.
