I have a 1996 5.7L custom Silverado, 2WD, 1/2 ton short bed. I ordered it new and have only 44K miles, never in rain, seriously pampered. Engine is stock except for K&N filter, also have Flowmaster cat back dual exhaust system.
I am considering shorty headers that use the stock "Y" and Cat. So far I'm leaning toward JBA ceramic coated stainless but would really appreciate what others owners are using and how they have worked. My main concern is top level fit and finish, no leaks, no constant bolt tightening.
What shorty headers has anyone else used? How has the finish held up? Any other issues?
