4/6 fix the "lean?

wouldn't replacing most of the stock suspension get ridof the chevy lean if it is in fact the suspension and not the chassis? and doesn't a 4/6 mostly replace the stock suspension? just a thought.

the lean is due to a weak left rear leaf spring. so unless you replace that, the lean will be more noticeable. one thing you can do is set the adjustable shackle on the drivers side in the first hole instead of the second. techically you will only get a 5" drop on that side but really you'll get the 6" because of the existing lean.

I think dropping it won't get red of the lean. For the back you can do as wolfdog said. I had to order a bell tech isolator bushing for the front due to tire rub on the drivers side. I am planning on putting it on tomarrow.

I replaced ALL of my springs to drop mine. The lean is the exact same. My problem seems to be in the front left. I did the shackle trick, and now my left rear is just a bit higher than my right rear, but the front left is still lower than the front right a good inch. You would think someone, somewhere would have a straight answer for this problem.:banghead:

Get a front spring isolator bushing PN 4930blt $10.00 plus shipping from Stylin Concepts. They might tell you it's a Ferd part but got the part number from belltech and fits perfectly inside my extra springs. :read:

I've lowered mine twice with front and rear springs. Both times, with different springs, the lean was gone.

Will the Shackle Trick affect my rearend angles or anything that could cause problems after doin this? I was gunna do it but the shop said I should go back to were I got it lowered and have em fix it for free :bawl: :confused: I tried to tell em my 00 leaned too, but they said come back if I want it done........This lean pisses me off:devil: :cussing:

I actually think the drivers side of are trucks is wider than the passenger side. I know that the drive shaft is like three inches shorter on one side. But my 3/4 leans to one side. I think all 99-02 FSC do too. I heard a new shackle will fix it, but i don't have the money and don't really care about the lean that much. I wanna bag my truck, so the lean is intentional.

my 2002 leaned from the factory. i figure that these trucks have the gas tank and driver on the right side at all times. that can be 300 to 500 pounds of weight on one side that the other side dosne't . i put a 2 inch shackle on the left side and put it in the first hole. one inch. it fixed the problem but you can see the back right is higher. the alligment is perfect so it is a flaw in the truck

My 2002 RCSB had a 3/4" lean to the driver side, dropped 2" with Eibach coils and the lean was still there.

Ordered and installed a 1" drop coil on the driver side and now is perfect, and alignment is in spec. The spring rate is a little higher on the driver side but hardly noticeable.
