'89 OBS Cruise control inop.

Well finally got the truck registered and legal to drive. Drove it home from my buddies house today. Found out the cruise control is inop. I know in Fords of te same era the multi-function switch was the culprit. Any ideas? Column switch maybe? Or something under the hood. All the fuses are good to go.

That has been my experience with them in the two Oldsmobiles I had. Think those stalks are just held in with a c-clip and a small small plug. Theres a cover on the column that snaps on and off.
