I know this is a GM site, but I figured Id ask anyway. Im looking for a 94-98 3/4 Dodge Ram 12V Cummins manual trans 4x4 either ECSB or SCLB. No more than 5 or 6 Grand. If you know where I can get one, let me know.

gotcha. if you dont mind me asking, other than that you are quite obviously a chevy guy (as am I) what is your beef with cumminses? or are you just joking? a d-max is out for me because of a lack of money, and 6.5 are $hit IMO. powerstrokes are out too, my '79 is the only ford i have any interest in owning.

The newer Cummins are bad ass, don't get me wrong. It's the older ones I don't like what so ever. I like the style of the body from 03-06ish, BUT, I don't like the new one that came out with the DPH. There raping too much out of the new diesels it is rediculous.

agreed. i dont like the DPH either, and Id have to agree that the new ones are baddass. my neighbor is a huge Mopar guy and that what he DDs. However, while I do make alot of money for someone my age, I dont make that much money, so thats out for the same reasons as a D-Max.

As for the older ones, what is it thats so bad about them? Other than the ****ty trannys and weak frames, but the manuals are decent and the frame can be strengthened. basically I just want it to DD during college for the fuel economy and performance potential, and to roll coal all over town.

have seen a few folks selling on the forum...some good buys to be had out there and the cummins forum is good place for info ect..wouldnt wana see ya buyin a lemon...also watch out for 53 block re cracks on older cummins
