aftermarket cd player in 2003 Chevy

Ok guys, I just got my 03 ecsb chevy and I want to replace the stock deck with the one I took out of my old 94. Ive gotten as far as to get the harness unhooked and everything but now I'm stuck. How in the hell do I unhook the antenna from the factory unit???? It looks like its hard wired into the stock unit. Is it?? I know I need an adapter for it but I'm just worried about getting the new head unit in there first. Any ideas??????????

Its not hard wired. It will pull out. If I remember correctly you gotta pull kinda hard. Have you bought the harness for your truck so you can even run an after market head unit?

its not hard wired - unless someone else did it after they bought the truck.

Also, you can either use a regular harness or the kind that keeps all your chimes. They are $38 at walmart and thats as cheap as it comes.

Hey guys, I did buy the aftermarket harness but I haven't had time to work on it. I just took it all apart so I could figure out how it came apart more or less.
