I've been lurking for awhile and decided I would ask a question.

The place I work had blind bidding on an air compressor that they were getting rid of and I won it. I know it's a good compressor 19.1cfm @ 125 psi.

Before I go out and buy all those air tools I couldn't use, is there anything this compressor won't run well? I thought you guys could give me a heads up before I get my heart set on something.

Thanks,

Pneumatic breaker hammer (jackhammer). That's all I can think of. That puts out a lot of air and as long as you pace yourself, I don't think you'll have problems with any tools. I don't know what you paid but that looks like a pretty stout compressor.

That compressor should serve you well. a 1 inch or larger impact may make it sweat, but it should run it.

Thanks for the replys.

I'm planning on putting three drops in my (very small) shop and one outside. Every once in awhile I may actually have two tools going at once.

As far as what it cost me, my bid was $400. My gut was telling me that it would go for about $1200, as it only had 47 hours on the meter. Since, I figured there was no way I was getting it for that, I hadn't done much research.

Anyone have opinions on using Poly tubing for the air lines?

Thanks,

In my experience the poly tubing is stiff and prone to breaking in the cold weather. Go with some high quality hose and you'll never regret it.
