View Full Version : Escort Passport Solo S2 OR 8500?

Should I get the Solo S2 that is wireless and you just install batterys OR the 8500 which is the old version. Its not the new 8500-x50. Anyone have these 2 models or does anyone have the features of either? I found a couple cheap and i can one tomorrow.

From what I have read the Solo is only detecting for a certain percentage of the time which supposedly reduces it's effectiveness. It does this in order to increase battery life. I say you should go with the 8500 and hardwire it, that way you don't have a wire running over your dash from the 12v socket.
