So put in a new deck yesterday and when I select AUX for my sat radio I get the vehicle/alternator noise. I only get it on this input. Regular radio and CD player are fine.

Do I have to put electrical tape around the audio cable connections for that particular cable? (it has the standard red/white that go to a headphone jack) Maybe they're touching off something? I was going to pull the deck out and let it play while not tucked into the dash.

I just bought the cable from London Drugs, just a typical audio cable. I would imagine the insulation on it is suffice.

I get the same thing sometimes with my CB. I think it has something to do with the ground but im not sure

That's just it, if the ground was bad I would suspect the CD Player and regular radio would have the noise too. It's only on the aux selection.

I used the ground for the factory deck like I've done for any deck I've installed.

After several threads I read online through different forums I went out and bought a ground loop isolator and I'll get it put in sometime this week.

I got that as well.

My sub would hit hella hard when I turned my lights on, rolled my windows down and even changing songs!

It sounds funky but it worked.

Ground your RCA cables in the back of the deck if you have any!!!

There should be a little screw in the back of the deck, splice into your rca and your golden.

Hope it works for you!

Of course I couldn't find the screw for the back of the deck, either way I had bought a ground loop isolator and finally got around to installing it today.

Everything sounds awesome! woot!
