i had a box built for me yesterday for a new setup for my truck. alpine type r 12'' in ported box. right now the box is bare with no carpet or anything on it, and my skills are low but no problem in trying stuff on my own. How should i cover my box, carpet or should i just buy bedliner stuff and put it on. Opinions wanted. Thanks.

i think carpeting them looks the best on a box, but in my last car i built a massive box and i just sanded it and painted it. good luck.

Depends. What does the truck look like? Do you have any pics of the box in the truck? I think it all kinda depends on the truck and location of everything

I have always been a fan of the gloss box. It just takes an insane amount of time to do all that wet sanding.

I agree withthe gloss box. But maybe try vinyl thats colormatched to your interior? A little different than the regular old speaker box carpet everyone has

Yeah just some spray adhesive. Bust be sure you cover the carpet and the box itself with the tack glue.

Just make sure you get a good adhesive too. I HATE the 3m spray adhesives, it seems alot of people on here have had good luck with it but ive never seen it. At autozone or checker they have a really good spray i think its just called Headliner Adhesive spray and it comes in a big orange can. Id look into that stuff it really works well. And when your doing it make sure you let the glue tack up a bit rather than just spraying it on and covering it. Hope this helps!

Also, use a soft rubber mallet or block of wood to beat the carpet with. It pushes more of the glue into the matting of the carpet and gives it a better hold.
