Oh it was. The truck was bone stock on balding AT's. I was 16, had my license for a few weeks, and thought I was ready to take on the world...

Ive learned my lesson tho. Now with the lift/MT's, I can make it through that same hole :rocking:

Its a 4wd truck if I'm not mistaken, probably just has the front disconnected so everything don't 'plode. I know he had a HUGE build thread. More stuff planned too. Its one of my favorite trucks on the site.

Yeah, it's a 4x4, but because of a dead actuator and mismatched gear ratios, 4x4 hasn't been usable for a while. And I had a build thread somewhere from when i put the lift on, try searching for a thread started by me in the projects/builds section.

Where did you get that dash?
Its the factory dash just sanded down and primered, painted, and cleared with rattle cans. The gauges are Nu Image, which came with the white headlight and cargo light panels.

I've thought about trying to make one too. I've been through water crossings that have been up to the hood so I'm not sure how it didnt flood. Our spot floods alot so its an idea I've been kicking around more lately.

how did you get it out? and did it kill your motor?

To get out I had to use a winch on my buddies Xterra and my high highlift as a winch. It didn’t kill the engine, it killed the transmission, air filter, starter, and made me over heat until I was able to get all the mud out of my radiator. Overall it was a $3000.00 mistake. :banghead:

^^ why i try to stay out of mud like that. been lucky so far the few times i have done stuff like that, no major damage really. i even avoid those holes in the Heep, unless SBC- Inside talks you into it at the badlands

I was slightly impaired and it didn't look that deep, it just dropped off, by the time I realized I was in over my head it was way to late so I tried more skinny pedal and paid for it later.

heres from last night, first time this trucks been wheeled, ripped apart a jeep trail with my K10 and a couple buddies(one has a 91 SR5 lift Taco on 33, the other a 84 4runner on 33s) 3 miles in, we found a swamp, and a down tree that broke my cb antenna on the passenger side.

Now, it was me and a buddy tearing down a mud/dirt road at like 45, so its more spash mud instead of flung mud (plus my tires only had like 30% life left, so they don't really fling mud anymore).

Looks like the IFS was just plowing mud when you got stuck. Not to mention the fram dragging along the mud as well.

yeah i tried to dig it out for a couple hours... but nothing! i was just sittin on a sponge with some grass over it haha. But she was slinging mud till that point!!

I got stuck winching my dads tractor out(dont have pictures of it stuck doing that). Stuck the tractor trying to pull my truck out. I had to leave it over night. I couldn't winch forward because there was a bushhog right in front of me. Went back the next day with a friend who had a jeep with 5" of lift and 33" MTZ and a 9500Ib winch. He got the bush hog out of the way. I used his jeep as a winch point and got loose and gave her H*** till it got mired up in the field in front of the shooter house. I could have rocked it out but didnt want to tear it up anymore than it was. I just winched my way out of the field. It was some thick alabama gumbo mud.

we were riding down this trail last saturday and someone had i guess knocked down a tree..or it fell and was covering the path. so i drive up into the shrubbery and push down some smaller trees to get around and he is cringing the entire time. he's like "my heart" :lol:

i told him not to worry i know a good detail guy that can buff it out :thumbup:
