I'm looking for some ideas for a cold air intake for my 98 vortec 350. I'm getting a cam, shorty headers, and a tune so i'm going to need something. My biggest concern is water. I don't bury my truck in swamps but i do play in the mud and trek through some field streams, and so far i haven't seen anything with some sort of shield or resivoir.
So what do you guys have and how does it perform?

If your worried about water then then stick to the stock setup and get a high flow filter. Or get a Volant.

I already have a k&n filter so i might find some sort of tube for the intake. As much as Spectre sells there stuff for, i might just get the volant

Check under the tech articles there is a writeup on homedepot cold air, using pipe from there. I have an aem and quite like it, comes with a heat shield as well. Performs veri well. I had a k+n flipped cover before and it blew it out of the water, works real good. I would recommend volant as well, supposedli the sealed box is a stage 3 intake and the best, just depends on how much u want to spend. Good luck, keep us posted
