I wasnt sure where to post this, but since battery disconnects are usually on performance vehicles..figured someone would know.

Anyway, I know there are "Remote Battery Disconnects" Question is..does someone actually make one with an actual remote control? Thanks!

Yes they do!

This one is called the "Battery Brain", though I'm sure others make one similar...

Here is a quick video of a 3rd party testing the product...

thats not what he's looking for. they do make them, they use them on monster trucks. not sure why you would want one though.

Call summit or jegs.
I will add to Gresedog's statment. I don't think they are track legal (could be wrong about that), so unless you want it for your sterio to dissconnect a second battery from the charging system so you don't run down the battery to start the truck.
A manual one will cause you alot fewer headaches and be easier to install.

I want one cause my batteries are located under my truck bed and would be easier..and the hole truck is on a remote conrol anyway..hood/doors/start/stop etc..and it would be easy to just hit a button while I was walking towards or away from the truck, it sits all the time and drains slowly. If I cant find anything, I might just go with "Keep It Clean"s Remote Battery Disconnect..

Sounds to me like what I posted is EXACTLY what he's looking for?

after he clarified that he wasnt looking for something to disconnect a fully charged battery, yes, it does sound like what he wants. if everything on the truck is electronic, i'm not seeing why one would want to disconnect the battery, thus disabling all of that stuff.

to keep the electronics from draining his battery while sitting for long peroids.....all of that stuff he has on his truck will drain the battery if sat for a long peroid of time....maybe not completely but it will be low. I say get it since it's the only thing suggested that makes sense.

Yeah, I need something to dis the battery while its sitting as it sits 99% of the time and has tons of accessories that drain the battery about every other week its dead. Ill probly end up getting it. I havent had much time to look into it but I watched the video, Im going to look now. But looked like on the video I thought it said it doesnt completely disconnected the battery.

Actually in the video he shows with his DMM that it DOES disconnect it COMPLETELY...

I believe the GOLD series does it with the remotes as well as a low voltage disconnect if you forget to disconnect it with the remote...
