I am ordering my wiring I need from Knukonceptz and had a few questions:

1. What size fuses should I go with on my amp wiring kit. I am getting the 1/0 one for 2 amps. I am gonna be running a JL Audio 450/4 and a 500/1.
2. What is a ballpark length of speaker wire I will need to go from behind the rear seat to fronts and from the same spot to the extended cab doors on a 2002 ECSB.

EDIT: The wiring kit has 3 fuses one on the main run of power wire and 2 in the distro block.

id suggest using 4 gauge wiring, no need for using a garden hose when ur only using a 500/1. id use a 200 or even 250 for the fuse size and as far as length, i like to buy extra every time, always end up using more so i usually get 18-20ft when i start a new vehicle install.

I think it is a good idea to go big with the "garden hose" the first time around. With that there is always room for upgrading in the future without having to go through the whole process of running wires again with a bigger amp.

I agree with 0/1 gauge being the size to go with. and then splitting into 2 runs of 4 gauge.

but 200 for the fuse is MUCH too big. match the fuses to those on the amps. it will probably be 50 or so per amp. hold on a sec and ill check for you

EDIT: the proper fuse rating for those 2 amps would be 120.

So 120 on the main split into 2-60s on the distro block should be good. Before I left I had the 500/1 hooked with an 8G kit that had a 50 amp fuse in it. I know this was nowhere near enough, but I got it about 2 weeks before I dployed and just wanted somethin mostly for 14 hour drive I had. I knew I was gonna be redoin it win I got back. If I turned it up past 3/4 or so for more than about 10 it would blow the fuse. Is this because the wire was to small or the fuse or a combination of both? Like I said I knew puttin it in it wasn't enough, I am just tryin to get a better understanding of how all the wiring works.

I also like the garden hose, the JL amps are power hogs.

120 is more than enough.

The easiest way to really "measure" your wire is to run a piece of string cut to length and then order at least that much wire. Or you could be like me and just buy 250' spools :D
