Well, today I claybared and waxed my truck for the first time ever.

I have never done anything like this before and it turned out awesome!

Anyways, I used the Mothers kit and applied the supplied "Cleaner Wax" but is this good enough?

I read in sport truck that after apply the cleaner wax (they only used it for stains) that you should apply actual "Wax" they were using Tech wax.

So, is the cleaner wax good enough or should I apply another wax (if so whats good?)

Thanks guys!

BTW- I would recommend the Mothers Clay bar kit, it really fixed my truck paint!

The cleaner wax should be okay they are designed to clean off the old wax and stuff and wax at the same time. You don't need to do anything else.. In a few months or so just wash your truck with some Dawn or something and apply just a regular wax. Mothers is good so I would just stick with all their products. Otherwise Mequires is good as well

I agree on the claybar and wax... I did mine for the first time last weekend and the finish was unbelievably smooth for a few days. still shines great.

I used Dawn dishwashing detergent first.
then ClayMagic clabar and lube.
then some Turtle Wax original.

Did the whole truck even the bed.

Ill start doing this about 4 times a year I think.
